Unnverve (It Flows), watercolors, 2012.Laura Barbuto
Have these always been plant-like or is it that I notice it now for the first time? They’re lovely.
It’s always very interesting to hear what people see in my paintings. I was not thinking about plants but I can see what you mean. There is something very organic in these ones…
Oh good. Love it when people agree. Carl Jung, the psychologist said that plants are the closest to the ‘real’ thing? Earthed. And Bessie Head, an author, once said something to the effect of the self-absorption of plants. Nothing else to do but to grow. No worry about what the neighbours are thinking! 🙂
like this a lot!
Thanks. I’m so glad you like it!
Brilliant, they just get better and better!
Thanks, Violetta. Knowing your art, I take this as a real compliment.
Love your use of line – they look like they’ve grown, not been drawn.
Thanks, Richard. I’m very pleased it has that effect.
